![]() Food & Liquor (I don't know why everyone decided that the Cool is better than this, instrumentally immaculate, there isn't one bad song on here, while the Cool flies higher on songs like the Coolest, Dumb it Down, and hip hop saved my life, it also has Go Baby, high defination, and hello/goodbye, which aren't bad songs, but are easily worse than anything on F&L).Tetsuo & Youth (Immaculate, easily one of the most concious and lyrical album I've ever heard). But it did annoy me that songs we heard, a couple years prior to the release of the album, were on the album. Especially songs like High, Kill, and a couple more. Not an album I go back to listen to, but full of amazing songs like Bitch Bad, Lamborghini Angels, and Form Follows Function.ĭrogas Light - first half of this album is underrated. The production, the lyrics, themes, stories, holy shit! From the individual songs to the project as a whole. T&Y - Lupe was back more than ever before! One of the best albums of the decade. Songs like Till I Get There, Letting Go and at least a couple others were exactly what I needed, and yelling along on Beautiful Lasers helped me get through tough times. But Lasers came at a time when I needed it the most. Lasers - objectively I would have put T&Y here, cause let’s face it, it is WAAAAAY superior. Before this, it was mostly “gangsta rap, money and hoes” for me, but this changed my view of the world. This is what really brought me into hip hop. My high school years, and everything it brings along were saved by this album, its themes, and depth.į&L - I see this album as the more classic hip hop album of the first two. And to me, it was the best album out (still might be). The Cool - sonically, this album was nothing like the rest. Getting real nostalgic lately with the Lupe songs, almost makes me wanna cry, man! ![]()
